Welcome, for lack of a better term, to a stab at putting together Oregon’s all-time all-state football team. It’s one where virtually no one will agree, because great football players have existed in this state for 80 years and no one can say they’ve seen them all. Not to mention playing styles have changed, and who’s to say a great quarterback from the 1940s could excel in today’s game?
But here is our best guess of an all-time all-state team; the first team includes players from the 1940s through the modern era. There were no hard-and-fast rules in developing this team, but we lean toward high school accomplishments.
