In the opening minutes, Oregon opened with a 9-0 lead shaking off the holiday rust quickly Satou Sabally had four points for the Ducks early. Corban was 0 for 2 from the floor in the opening two and a half minutes. After the first quarter, Oregon was in complete control.
Midway through the first quarter, Kelly Graves started working his bench and to end the quarter Taylor Chavez hit a layup for a 33-10 lead. Oregon was able to find their way to 10 steals and forced 11 turnovers on the Corban Warriors. The Ducks added 20 points on Corban turnovers in just the first quarter.
