The game could have gotten out of control early as several Oregon Ducks found early foul trouble. Sabrina Ionescu had two uncharacteristic fouls before halftime along with Taylor Chavez, but Oregon found a way to adjust. The first half also saw a tight game between two of the top teams in the Pac-12 this season with Stanford holding a lead after the first quarter. The Ducks ended that quickly in the second quarter.
Oregon broke out scoring 29 points before halftime limiting the Stanford Cardinal to under 10 points in the second quarter as the Cardinal finished with 9 points.
