Oregon men, UP and Oregon State women get at-large invites to NCAA Cross Country

The University of Oregon men, and the University of Portland and Oregon State women received at-large invitations Saturday to the NCAA Cross Country Championships.

The UO women's team and University of Portland men's team qualified automatically for the NCAA Championships by winning Friday's West Regional in Sacramento, Calif.

The NCAA Cross Country Championships are next Saturday in Madison, Wisconsin.

The UP women put two individuals -- Lauren LaRocco and Taryn Rawlings -- in the top 10 of the regional championships en route to a fifth-place finish.

The UO men, paced by Blake Haney's eighth-place finish, also finished fifth.
