Oregon was held to under 40 points for the first time this season and Running Back Royce Freeman was held to under 100 yards for the first time in 2017. Arizona State was ready to play on Offense. Manny Wilkins completed passes to the tune of 489 yards of Offense averaging over 11 yards per play. It took nearly a half for the Oregon Defense to make adjustments and the Offense for the Ducks did not help.
Oregon was tagged for 14 penalties for 99 yards. The Ducks did manage to get their first lead of the game, but a costly fumble near midfield gave the momentum back to Arizona State.
