The Oregon Ducks started Megan Kleist in the opener of a doubleheader against Florida State on Saturday. It was the most anticipated series of the season at Jane Sanders Stadium and the lone Top 5 Matchup of the weekend in College Softball.
Kleist gave up a hit in the first inning that was no her fault after picking up the first two outs. She got out of the inning unscathed without giving up a run. Oregon had Danica Mercado batting leadoff in the first game of the doubleheader.
Alexis Mack drew a walk and stole second but was unable to get to third as Nikki Udria struck out.
