The Oregon Ducks are 1-0 This Season when Quarterback Vernon Adams is not in the lineup, thanks to Backup Jeff Lockie who threw for two touchdowns in a win over Georgia State this past weekend. Adams was diagnosed with a broken index finger on this throwing hand following the first game of the season against Eastern Washington and played through a cortisone shot against Michigan State. He was effective when he had to be, but also threw two interceptions against the Spartans, leading to a 31-28 loss. The only loss Oregon has so far on the young season.
Pac-12 play begins this week and Adams said he is close to getting back on the field according to Matt Prehm from 247Sports.
