EUGENE -- Thursday’s practice marked Oregon’s final run through before driving up I-5 for Saturday’s practice at Franklin High School in Portland. The Ducks will scrimmage for the first time of the spring on Saturday, with head coach Mario Cristobal saying they would likely run through 50 to 60 plays while mixing in some drill work.
“We want our coaches to coach drills and show how they teach so all the locals can see how our guys are working, the level of knowledge and teaching and what-not that our coaches have and how we’re training our guys."
As for what Cristobal wants to see out of Saturday’s scrimmage, the coach complimented the drive the team has shown so far, but wants to see it turned up a notch in live action.
