EUGENE -- Oregon baseball's annual media day had a bit of a different ring to it on Wednesday.
The optics were similar. As a group of players played catch in the background, head coach George Horton met with a group of reporters to give his outlook on the upcoming season.
In past years, this is where Horton's caved. He's a successful coach who's had successful teams and he's always erred on the side of confidence. As much as he may not have initially wanted to in past seasons, the preseason media session has generally been the place where the coach lays heavy expectations upon his squad.
