EUGENE, Ore. – Sam Novitske has accomplished something no other Duck has done in Oregon baseball program history. The sophomore became the first Oregon baseball player to earn a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-District® Baseball First-Team, selected by CoSIDA.
With the honor, Novitske will advance to the 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. Academic All-America® honorees will be announced from June 8-11.
The Ducks' second baseman, who boasts a 3.95 GPA, has started all 71 games during his two-year career at Oregon batting .288 with 59 runs scored and a .390 on-base percentage.
