Oregon director of athletics Rob Mullens was named the top athletic director in the Pac-12 this week by the collegiate sports news outlet Stadium.
College football reporter Brett McMurphy and men's basketball reporter Jeff Goodman, two of the most respected voices in the collegiate sports media environment, graded athletic directors based on head coaching hires in those two sports specifically. Mullens was chosen as the class of the Pac-12.
"We like to win at whatever we do, and hiring's an extremely important part of the role," Mullens said in a chat with the two reporters.
