It's hard to know for sure from here whether the legal fights Mt. San Antonio College is in with the city of Walnut, California and a local texpayers group are just a nuisance, or whether they really can prevent the completion of HIlmer Lodge Stadium in time to host USA Track & Field's 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials.
Ken Stone, a contributing editor for the Times of San Diego, has been all over this.
Last week, he quoted Craig Sherman, an attorney for the United Walnut Taxpayers, as flatly predicting the stadium won't be done in time.
