Marder named assistant baseball coach

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon head baseball coach Mark Wasikowski announced Thursday the first member of his staff when he named former Ducks player Jack Marder an assistant coach.

Marder will serve as Oregon's hitting coach, while working with the catchers and being heavily involved in all aspects of recruiting.

"I couldn't be happier to have Jack Marder rejoining the Oregon baseball coaching staff," Wasikowski said. "Jack is known as one of the brightest young minds in college baseball coaching circles. His personal connections with student-athletes, attention to detail in his teachings, and daily preparation are traits that Coach Marder has emphasized and are mentioned first by those who have worked with him on a daily basis.
