SEATTLE, Wash. – Senior Daan Maasland will be playing in the semifinals of the top flight tomorrow at the ITA Regional Championships. Additionally two Duck duos will play in the doubles quarterfinals.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Similar to yesterday’s contest, Maasland needed three sets to take down his first opponent of the day in Euan McIntosh (Fresno State). After dropping the first set, 6-4, Maasland came back to take the next two, 7-5, 6-2 and move on to the afternoon quarterfinal round.
There, he was pitted against Michael Genender of Stanford. Maasland had little trouble with the Cardinal, downing him 6-0, 6-2 to advance to the semifinals tomorrow morning.
