The Oregon women’s basketball team returns to the court Saturday, looking to extend the team’s best start in more than a decade.
Under second-year coach Kelly Graves, the UO women are 7-0 for the first time since 2004-05. On Saturday the Ducks host Portland (2-7) in Matthew Knight Arena at 2 p.m.
Oregon is playing at home for the seventh straight game since winning at then-No. 22 North Carolina to open the regular season. The homestand will eventually extend to 10 games, a calculated bit of scheduling as Graves sought to instill his team with confidence entering conference play.
