Live updates: No. 8 Oregon Ducks visit Arizona State

Jake Fisher was happy to be able to start lifting heavy weights again as part of offseason workouts.

The Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman was cleared Thursday to resume workouts, three months after having heart surgery to correct an irregular heartbeat.

"I've been working with lighter ones, but now I'm back to off-season workouts," Fisher told bengals.com. "You have to be conscious of it. You have to monitor it. But you still have to live life. You can't let it cripple you in any way."

The "it" was the irregular heartbeat - an Atrial fibrillation - which was diagnosed in November, forcing the Bengals the place the former Oregon Ducks star on the Non-Football Injury list.
