EUGENE -- Rece Davis has called many games from Autzen Stadium, but the veteran sportscaster is new to the "College GameDay" scene in Eugene.
"We always enjoy coming to the Pac-12 schools because of the 6 a.m. start and wakeup call," said Davis, now in his fourth year hosting the ESPN pregame show. "And I'm not even being facetious about it. There's something kind of cool about coming out and it's still dark and everybody's fired up."
For the first time since 2014, "College GameDay" is back in the Willamette Valley for the No. 20 Oregon Ducks' showdown with seventh-ranked Stanford.
