Meet Cort Dennison: Oregon Ducks outside linebackers coach
EUGENE -- Cort Dennison's metamorphosis from ex-Washington Huskies standout to new Oregon Ducks assistant coach doesn't come with the intrigue of a spy thriller.
It's more a tale of an up-and-coming guy knowing the right names to be in the right place at the right time.
Dennison, a Salt Lake City native, took plenty of lumps from the Ducks for four years in a row, beginning as a redshirt freshman during the dismal 0-12 season of 2008 that cost UW coach Tyrone Willingham his job.
