From Shalane Flanagan to Raevyn Rogers: local women ready to shine in Sacramento

From left to right, Ariana Washington, Jenna Prandini and Deajah Stevens will be among the local stars battling this week in Sacramento for spots on the U.S. Team for the World Outdoor Championships. A top-three finish in the event finals will earn a spot onTteam USA. Washington and Stevens compete for the University of Oregon. Prandini is a former UO star all three were 2016 U.S. Olympians. Here is a look at at local women expected to be in the mix. Athletes pictured below have been projected to finish fifth or better by Track & Field News.

English Gardner was a five-time NCAA champion for the Oregon Ducks, and won an Olympic gold medal as part of Team USA's 4x100 Relay at the 2016 Olympics.
