Freeman Selected By Denver In Third Round

ARLINGTON, Texas – One of six players in college football history to rank in the top 10 all-time in both rushing yards and rushing touchdowns, Oregon running back Royce Freeman became the first Duck taken in the 2018 NFL Draft on Friday when he was selected in the third round with the 71st overall pick by the Denver Broncos.

Freeman is the sixth Oregon running back in program history selected in the first three rounds of the draft, joining LaMichael James (2013 – 2nd Round), Jonathan Stewart (2008 – 1st Round), Maurice Morris (2002 – 2nd Round), Reuben Droughns (2000 – 3rd Round) and Curt Mecham (1942 – 2nd Round).
