EUGENE, Ore. – Freshman Leah Freeman, who helped the Ducks shutout both California and Stanford over the weekend, has been named the Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Week the league announced Monday.
Freeman, from Berkeley, Calif., made what was at the time a career-high seven saves in the Ducks' 1-0 win over Cal on Friday. It was Oregon's first ever win in Berkeley.
Two days later, she raised her career high to nine saves in a 0-0 overtime tie at Stanford.
It was the first time in program history that Oregon held the Cardinal scoreless on their own field.
