SEATTLE, Wash. – Former Duck goalkeeper Abby Steele was signed by women’s professional soccer team, Seattle Reign FC, on Friday as announced by the club.
Steele, a recent graduate, was the starting goalie from 2011-14 at Oregon and left the program with her name well-etched in the record books. The Santa Rosa, Calif. native competed in 74 games in a Duck uniform and is No. 1 in school history with her 1.14 career goals against average and 17 shut-outs. She is also No. 3 on the list for goalkeeper wins with 21 and career saves with 307.
