SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The University of Oregon track and field team secured five NCAA Championships spots on day one of the NCAA West Preliminary at Hornet Stadium. The Ducks also advanced 15 athletes to the quarterfinal round which will be run Friday with the exception of the 1,500 meters.

In the final event on the track, Cardama Baez and Pyzik each finished within the top 12 to clinch their 10K spots in Austin.
