Kat Cooper, a senior guard for the Ducks, has returned to the West Coast for her final season as a collegiate athlete.
The Tacoma, Wash., native moved across the country to play basketball when she was recruited by Boston College out of high school. Cooper had always dreamed of playing in an elite conference like the ACC and was thrilled to be continuing her education at a prestigious academic institution.
With coaching changes and an injury that wiped out her sophomore season, Cooper’s collegiate career didn’t go as planned. Despite a few unexpected turns, Cooper stayed on the East Coast and graduated from Boston College in May of 2016 with an undergraduate degree in sociology.
