Eugene is back in the running to host the 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials.
USA Track & Field announced Tuesday that it was reopening bidding for the 2020 trials, citing construction delays in the renovation of HIlmer Lodge Stadium at Mt. San Antonio College.
Mt. SAC, located in Walnut, California, had been been awarded the trials in June 2017. Eugene and Sacramento also had bid to host.
Now 2020 is back on the table.
The TrackTown USA local organizing committee successfully staged U.S. track's Olympic Trials in 2008, 2012 and 2016 at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field.
