A couple things ...
-- Entries are set for the NCAA regional qualifying meets. The West Regional -- or, as the NCAA calls it officially, West Preliminary -- takes place May 24-26 in Sacramento.

I have a few disconnected thoughts.
Oregon's Lauren Rain Williams, the region's No. 2 seed, apparently is good to go. Williams slowed abruptly in Sunday's 200-meter final at the Pac-12 Championships, leading to fears she had suffered a recurrence of hamstring issues that plagued her final seasons of high school track.
Apparently, though, whatever happened was not serious, possibly a cramp.
