Ducks Use Big Sixth Inning to Clinch Win

TEMPE, Ariz. – The offense came alive in the bottom of the sixth inning for the sixth-ranked Oregon softball team as the Ducks scored seven runs and eventually earned the 7-2 win over Maryland Saturday afternoon at the Kajikawa Classic.

HOW IT HAPPENED: the Ducks (3-0) struggled to get hits in the beginning of the game and the Terps (1-2) were able to put two runs on the board in the top of the second inning to take the lead. Geri Ann Glasco, who was pitching for the first time in 2016, was able to get out of the inning with back-to-back strikeouts.
