Ducks Stumble in Berkeley

BERKELEY, Calif. – The Ducks made four errors and the Pac-12’s best pitching staff had an uncharacteristically bad game as California defeated Oregon, 15-4, on Saturday night at Levine-Fricke Field.

A day after the Ducks (41-7, 17-3 Pac-12) defeated California, 15-2, in run-rule fashion on Friday with Cal returning the favor on Saturday. Oregon saw its 14-game winning streak snapped as the Bears tallied 15 runs on 16 hits.

MAGIC NUMBER: Oregon’s magic number for a fourth-straight Pac-12 title is two games. If Oregon wins tomorrow and UCLA loses, the Ducks clinch. If both teams win, the Ducks will head back home needing one more win next weekend to clinch.
