Ducks split doubleheader at Washington State

Box Score Pullman, Wash. – Oregon broke open game one with late runs to win 8-2 at Washington State, but the Cougars responded with a walk-off 2-1 win in the nightcap to split the doubleheader at Bailey-Brayton Field on Saturday.

Game 1: Oregon 8, Washington State 2
David Peterson set a new Oregon single-season strikeout record fanning 10 to run his season total to 117, while allowing just two runs in seven innings. Taylor Travess helped Peterson get the win breaking a 2-2 tie in the top of the seventh with a solo home run.
