EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon women’s basketball team held a one-point advantage at half-time, but was unable to hold off No. 11 Oregon State in the second half, falling 59-45 Sunday afternoon at Matthew Knight Arena.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Using tough perimeter defense, the Ducks (11-4, 0-4 Pac-12) forced 11 first-half turnovers and converted them in 14 points. After trailing as much as nine in the opening quarter, a bucket at the 5:51 mark from Liz Brenner sparked a 21-11 run that would give Oregon the 25-24 lead going into half-time.
