Ducks Pull Away From PSU In Second Quarter

PORTLAND — The Oregon women used a career night from Ruthy Hebard and a dominant second quarter to break open the game on their way to a 90-46 victory over Portland State on Saturday evening in the Moda Center.

How It Happened: Up 22-19 after the first quarter, the Ducks doubled their total in the second quarter while allowing just five points on 2-of-16 shooting by PSU to take a 44-24 lead into halftime. Hebard continued a strong nonconference season and had 20 points with 12 rebounds at the break, scoring 11 points during the second quarter.
