EUGENE, Ore. -- In a dominating effort from start to finish, the Oregon women’s basketball team earned its tenth win of the season with a 122-59 blowout of Portland State Thursday night at Matthew Knight Arena.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Ducks used a 14-1 run to start the game as the Vikings (1-9) were held without a field goal until mid-way through the first quarter. That run was just the beginning as Jillian Alleyne tallied 15 points in the opening quarter and Lexi Petersen chipped in nine. All but 10 of UO’s first quarter points came in the paint where the Ducks were nothing short of dominant, outscoring the Vikings 58-18 in the paint for the game.
