Ducks Drop Finale to No. 3 Bruins

EUGENE, Ore. — More missed opportunities hurt the Oregon softball team Sunday as the No. 19 Ducks missed out on a chance to take a series from No. 3 UCLA by losing 6-2 before 1,824 fans at Jane Sanders Stadium.

One day after leaving 11 runners on base, Oregon stranded 10 on Sunday. The Ducks (20-10) fought back from an early deficit to tie it 2-2 through three innings, but missed chances to take the lead left the door open for UCLA to take control with a four-run seventh inning.

"We just we need to cash in," UO coach Melyssa Lombardi said.
