EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon is ranked No. 14 in the preseason poll released by D1Baseball today. The Ducks, who were also ranked 14th in the Collegiate Baseball poll last month, are the fifth highest-ranked Pac-12 team.
Oregon returns seven starting position players off the 2015 team, which finished 38-25 and advanced to the NCAA Regionals, and another starter off the 2014 squad who missed last season with an injury. The Ducks head into 2016 with a starting rotation that features three experienced left-handed pitchers – Cole Irvin, Matt Krook and David Peterson – who have combined to make 54 starts over the last three seasons.
