Trailing 14-0 in the second quarter Rams quarterback Matt Stafford finally did the smart thing and threw the ball to all-time leading Oregon receiver at tight end Terrance Ferguson.
The newlywed from Littleton, Colorado hauled it in for 21 yards between two defenders, good for a first down as the Rams scored three plays later to make it 14-7. It was Ferguson's first regular season catch as a pro.
They should have kept throwing to him as Los Angeles lost 26-23 at home to fall to 3-2, losing to division rival San Francisco, who've started 2025 4-1.
