-- As part of his continuing attempts to determine how Hayward Field 2.0 as depicted in renderings will accommodate 17,000 temporary seats for the World Outdoor Championships, blogger Mark Grant got this response from Paul Weinhold, UO Foundation president and CEO.
"The seating plan for the World Championships will be under the direction of the local organizing committee. The University of Oregon Foundation will not be managing that process. Through the design phase of Hayward Field the team has engaged consultants with expertise in designing and building temporary seating plans. They have provided options that include temporary seating on the North end of Hayward as well as temporarily increasing the seating capacity within the bowl.
