Canzano: Corruption trial testimony helps Oregon Ducks, kills amateurism

Brian Bowen Sr. laid it on Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma State, Creighton and some others on Thursday. The sums Bowen Sr. alleges he was offered for his son's basketball services ranged from $150,000 to $100,000 to $50,000. And if you didn't know who Bowen Sr. was before he took the stand in a United States District Court, let's just call him the guy who finally killed amateurism.

What Bowen Sr. didn't do was kill the Oregon Ducks. He testified that he couldn't recall talking about an offer from UO. There's more testimony to come next week. Maybe someone else remembers.
