The #1 seed Oregon Ducks kicked off their portion of the Big Ten conference tournament against the #12 seed Michigan State Spartans in Omaha, NE, on Thursday afternoon, looking to stay hot after winning 10 straight games to close out the regular season. The Spartans got things going in the top of the first inning with a little small ball action (a double, a flyout to advance the runner to 3rd, and a sac-fly), giving MSU an early 1-0 lead. But the Ducks would respond with a two out, two RBI double by Anson Aroz in the bottom half of the frame, putting Oregon on top 2-1 after an inning of play.
