The #5 Oregon Ducks traveled east to kick off a three-game series with the Iowa Hawkeyes on Thursday, looking to secure the regular season BigTen title. The Ducks got things kicked off early, pushing a run across in the top of the 1st inning on a Drew Smith RBI single to left field.
The offense would really get cooking in the 4th inning when Oregon, after scoring a run on a Burke-Lee Mabeus sacrifice bunt, would get a grand slam by Carter Garate to break the game open 6-0.
