A couple things ...
-- If nothing else, the addition of Andrew Wheating to the Portland Track organization will make things more lively on the track and field and running scenes here.
Wheating was a three-time and NCAA champion for the University of Oregon and a two-time Olympian. He retired as a runner after the 2017 outdoor season, moved from Eugene to Portland and joined Portland Track's Board of Directors.
Portland Track stages the Portland Track Festival and Stumptown Twilight meets. Both have steadily rising international profiles.
This year, the Portland Track Festival takes place June 9-10 at Lewis Clark.
