ANAHEIM, Calif. — Of course they didn’t see this coming.
Not in December, when Dana Altman’s Ducks and Lon Kruger’s Oklahoma Sooners each played in one of two games at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. The Ducks were without Jordan Bell and Tyler Dorsey, and coming off a loss at UNLV. Kruger had the Sooners ranked sixth in the nation.
They couldn’t have seen this coming last fall, when Kruger called and suggested they take a golf trip to Scotland in the summer of 2016.
