EUGENE, Ore. – Jillian Alleyne had 25 points and 15 boards as she became the all-time rebounding leader in the Pac-12. Her effort helped the Oregon women’s basketball earn its first conference victory by downing California, 69-59, Sunday afternoon at Matthew Knight Arena.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Ducks (12-5, 1-5 Pac-12) used a first quarter 10-2 run to grab the lead early on as the Golden Bears (10-7, 1-5 Pac-12) struggled to score. Alleyne had seven points in the opening quarter and capped off the run with a three-point play at the 3:58 mark.
