SAN ANTONIO — With Vernon Adams Jr. behind center, Oregon’s offense hit the ground running. Not to mention passing, and scoring.

In the Ducks’ 2015 opener against Adams’ former team, Eastern Washington, the UO offense scored twice before the Eagles got on the board. That would end up being one of four times Oregon’s offense scored at least two touchdowns in the first quarter of a game this season — the other three being the final three contests of the regular season, against Stanford, USC and Oregon State.
