The first round of the 2017 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament continues Saturday, March 18, 2017 with 16 games on the schedule, including the Oregon Ducks first NCAA Tournament game since 2005.
In the early game No. 1 overall seed UConn rolled to a 116-55 victory over No. 16 Albany. Napheesa Collier and Kia Nurse scored 24 points apiece for the Huskies, who are trying to win their 5th consecutive NCAA title.
In the biggest upset of the tournament so far No. 12 seed Quinnipiac stunned No. 5 Marquette 68-65 Saturday morning. Quinnipiac built a 19-point lead, but had to hold off a late charge from Marquette to secure the upset.
