Oregon Football Recruiting: 3-Star WR Talks Visit To Eugene, Ducks' Placement On Wishlist

Three-star Abbotsford (B.C) wide receiver Chase Claypool was one of the top names at The Opening regional in Eugene, and he came away with another solid experience meeting with the Oregon Ducks' staff.

"The visit was pretty good," Claypool said, via 247Sports. "I just met with academic advisers and asked about the business school and stuff. Oregon is always a good visit."

Many thought the 2016 recruit would give his pledge during the visit, but Claypool wants to step back and survey the landscape before finalizing anything.

"Oregon is definitely still in my top schools, but I'm taking some more time," Claypool said. "I might decide by the end of summer. But if I'm not ready I'll take a few official visits first.

"My other top schools include Notre Dame, Michigan, Washington and Rutgers too. They (Rutgers) are recruiting me the hardest of anyone, it's almost hard to keep up with. They're all co-leaders right now."

Claypool is currently ranked as the 60th best wide receiver in the Class of 2016 by 247Sports.
