5 2016 Recruits Every Oregon Football Fan Needs To Know

The Oregon Ducks' 2015 recruiting class is barely in the books, but Mark Helfrich & company already are already putting in work on next year's elite prospects. Here are five elite players who are either committed to the Ducks, or strongly considering them...

5. RB Damian Alloway

The #1 all-purpose back in the class of '16, Alloway is a versatile offensive weapon who can contribute in a number of areas. UCLA is currently the favorite to land his signature, but Oregon is doing everything they can to change the Fontana (CA) native's mind.

4. WR Dillon Mitchell

The Tennessee native spurned Alabama, Auburn and a number of other SEC powers to commit to the Ducks back in October, and he's a lightning-fast receiver also expected to play point guard for Oregon's basketball team. Definitely a name worth remembering.

3. S Shurod Thompson

One of the nation's best high school safeties, Thompson is a skilled field general with fantastic football instincts. He's currently graded as the #4 safety in the class of '16, and he's expected to turn down offers from the rest of the Pac-12 to become a Duck.

2. CB Jared Mayden

The #9 cornerback in the Class of '16 is strongly considering Oregon, and he wouldn't just be a great pickup because of his football talent. A Texas native getting interest from all of the state's major programs, Mayden would give Oregon additional recruiting credibility in the nation's top state for high school football talent by picking the Ducks.

1. QB Seth Green

The dual-threat QB out of St. Paul, Minnesota (pictured up top) has already committed to Oregon, and he has the potential to be the next great Ducks quarterback. With size, accuracy, speed and toughness, don't be surprised at all if Green's 4-Star ranking improves over the course of next season.
