Wrestler J’Den Cox is a bronze medalist after winning in one of the wackiest endings to an event in a week and a half of wrestling at the Olympics.

Wrestling against Cuba’s Reineris Salas Perez in the 86kg weight class, Cox showed great defense. He won a point after his opponent was put on a shot clock, where a wrestler, because of his own passivity, is given 30 seconds to get a takedown. Because Salas Perez didn’t, Cox was given a point. About a minute later, Cox was put on a shot clock, and worked furiously to take Salas Perez down.
