With less than a year before the opening ceremony in Tokyo at the 2020 Olympics, a fresh track and field scandal should provide an intriguing storyline leading into next summer.

At the heart of the doping allegations is head coach of the Nike Oregon Project, Alberto Salazar, who received a four-year ban from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, along with endocrinologist Jeffrey Brown.

Salazar has been a prominent figure in American track and field for 40 years, with his career starting as a world-class distance runner and marathoner before transitioning into coaching high-profile Olympians.
