NASHVILLE, Tenn. — In the weeks leading up to arguably the most important competition of her life, Alysa Liu said she hasn't been feeling much pressure.
If anything, she said, she's actually felt more at ease.
"I think I've basically blocked out everybody's expectations of me," the 16-year-old said in a conference call.
It's an impressive feat, especially given the size of said expectations.
Though she is just 16, Liu has already won a pair of senior U.S. national championships, in 2019 and 2020. She's set the bar for the U.S. women on the Grand Prix circuit this winter.
