Volleyball: USA women claim bronze with comfortable win over the Netherlands

The United States women’s volleyball team couldn’t achieve its golden goal, but the Americans will still make the podium.

The U.S. won the bronze medal match against the Netherlands on Saturday, handing coach Karch Kiraly a 25-23, 25-27, 25-22, 25-19. win in Rio.

The bronze is the fifth Olympic medal for the U.S. women, having twice taken silver (2008, 2012). The gold remains elusive.
